The stars in my next production

I have signed up for a Quilt-A-Long on thought and found.  Isn't it pretty?  My SIL, Margaret, is going to be making one as well.  As a seasoned quilter, I have learned that if you are making several quilts from the same pattern, you might as well assembly line them.  (quilt talk for do them all at the same time).  So, I am.

 Aunt Grace's Scrapbag

 Bound to the Prairie

 Happy

Lovely

I have been on a "fabric diet" for almost two years now.  I promised my husband that I would not buy anymore fabric unless it was for a garment or to finish a project.  I really think it was the comment he made regarding the show "Hoarders".  I asked him how could anyone let things get that bad and how does it get started.  His reply was, "It all starts with the first yard of fabric."  Hmmph.

Anyway, I am going to use Kona snow for the solid for Lovely and Aunt Grace, a white tone on tone for the Happy and I haven't decided on the solid for the Bound to the Prairie.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.  Margaret and I will be sewing tomorrow.  I am a happy girl!  Because as you know

it is all about the stitches

  1. Haha, I love that comment about Hoarders! My SIL recently bought "the first yard," and then promptly bought many more during the recent fabric.com sale. I warned my brother that the empty chest of drawers in the office will be full of fabric in short order!

  2. There is just something about fabric. My SIL bought a layer cake of batiks today and after we got home she said she is not sure why she bought it, just that she loved it.
